We all recognise natural daylight as a healthier and more comfortable light for work and leisure activities. The most obvious benefits are seeing colours in their true light as well as reducing eye strain. Sadly, in this country, for much of the year the days are short and we depend on artificial light for both background and task illumination. Whether this light comes from tungsten, fluorescent or halogen, it nearly always emits a distorted reddish/yellow glow.
